An appreciation of art in dazzling lights 2017
Despite the storm clouds overhead, Wandlitz locals and their guests spent the evening of 28 October witnessing a magical festival in a unique location. Light artists, musicians, storytellers and magical water creatures around Barnim Panorama and the Wandlitz village church invited guests of all ages to enjoy a romantic, ethereal night in the form of the Wandlitzer Herbstleuchten 2017, with the theme of ‘Aqua Lumina!’
The second edition of the festival was once again packed full of highlights. Among the most spectacular were undoubtedly the 3D Video Mapping Show at Barnim Panorama and the enchanted underwater forest with its dancing laser beams. Audiences were also thrilled by impressive light installations across the entire festival grounds, shadow artists at the ‘Goldener Löwe’ cultural centre, live acts on the festival stage, the choral and Wasserstichorgel (water-dipped pipe-organ) concerts in the village church, and hands-on and listening activities for the kids.
We thank all guests, helpers and sponsors whose active and financial support made the Herbstleuchten possible! Our thanks also go to restaurateurs and market operators who provided excellent catering for visitors despite the adverse weather conditions.
